Breathe California Los Angeles County (BREATHE LA) volunteers and interns donate their time and talent to BREATHE LA to carry out a variety of tasks. Your interest in joining BREATHE LA volunteer and internship program illustrates your commitment to clean air and healthy lungs. Your help ensures BREATHE LA can continue to reach our community with meaningful programs, services and information. Join us in the fight for clean air and healthy lungs in Los Angeles County.

Volunteer at an Upcoming Event
• Natural History Museum Sustainable Sunday with BREATHE LA 024u activities (June 27, 2010)
• Natural History Museum Sustainable Sunday with BREATHE LA O24u activities (NHM, February 21)
• BREATHE LA booth at Green Lifestyle Film Festival (UCLA, March 19-21)
• KICK BUTTS DAY (March 25, 2010)
• Breath of Life Awards (Petersen Automotive Museum, April 8 from 6pm - 10pm)
• World No Tobacco Day (May 2010, tbd)
Education/Outreach
• Help spread the word about O24u and O24u Online Environmental Education
• Become trained to present about Energy Savings (Go Green, Save Green!)
• Learn how to set up a Smoking Cessation club at school

• Join us at environmental, health, and community festivals

Research
• Seeking assistance with GIS mapping, latest lung health reports, health impacts of air quality studies
• Focus on emerging technology
Advocacy
• Promote Clean Air and Healthy Lungs in your community or help us with targeted outreach
• Issues include: public transportation (local/state), tobacco, renewable energies, emissions reductions and compliance, and related lung health topics
Office Administration
• Data integration from outreach and educational events (O24u pre/post tests, sign-up info, curriculum compilation, etc.)
