BREATHE California of Los Angeles County (BREATHE LA), the 5th annual Green Salon Series focuses on fostering environmental sustainability: Green Industries/Green Jobs. Expert panel discussion with robust Q&A to examine leading examples of organizations from the public, private and non-profit sectors that are creating new sustainable jobs or effectively preparing workers for these green employment opportunities.
Breathe LA's final Green Salon of 2010 brought attention to the lung health plight faced by the Latino community and how Proposition 23, if passed, could destroy not only the health of many in the community, but, new opportunities for job creation.
Breathe California is considering legislation to sponsor for next year, and making determinations about policy priorities. We welcome input because members of the community often have the most innovative and useful ideas for necessary legislation and policy change.
At the Sustainability Master Class, held on October 15th at Breathe LA,
Charles Sine met with a select group of business professionals and
community leaders to discuss theoretical and practical approaches to a
supply chain management process re-envisioned under the lens of green
business policies. Breathe LA recognizes the importance of green
business approaches to improve efficiencies and decrease overall
emissions byproducts that have direct impacts on our health. Click
