BREATHE LA Young Professionals Kick-off Event

Young professionals are invited for a fun evening of free wine and hors d'oeuvres to celebrate the launch of BREATHE LA's Young Professionals group on October 27 from 6:30pm-8:30pm. BREATHE LA Young Professionals supports BREATHE LA's mission to promote clean air and healthy lungs. There is no cost to attend, but space is limited - Participants can register via Facebook or by emailing dberman@breathela.org .

BREATHE LA Center for Healthy Lungs medical research at UCLA was featured on a recent KABC Health News report filed by Denise Dador. The study, led by Drs. Chris Cooper and Thomas Storer, documents the value of exercise for those suffering COPD by increasing lung function.

2012 SAMUEL J. SILLS, M.D. VISITING SCHOLAR - HOMER BOUSHEY, M.D.

The Trudeau Society of Los Angeles County in collaboration with BREATHE California of Los Angeles County presents on March 27th, the 2012 Samuel J. Sills, M.D. Visiting Scholar - Homer Boushey, M.D., Professor of Medicine at San Francisco School of Medicine.  Dr. Boushey will be speaking on "Possibility of Asthma Prevention: Lessons From the Environment", at the Taglyan Complex, 1201 No, Vine Street, Hollywood.  The evening begins with a social hour at 6:00 p.m.; dinner at 7:00 p.m. and the lecture at 8:00 p.m.
