Most at-risk during flu season are infants and those who suffer from chronic lung conditions such as asthma or COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), where coughing and breathing become difficult. According to the Centers for Disease Control, flu vaccine can prevent illness in up to 90 percent of people under 65 years of age. Flu shots are quick and readily available.
