with Claudia KNX ModeratorModerator Claudia Peschiutta, KNX 1070 AM Reporter, enjoyed a lively and wide ranging discussion of the need to move forward quickly to make personal, legislative and policy changes to address looming climate change catastrophe. "We're in the fight for our lives," said S. David Freeman, "and we need to address this with a sense of urgency."

Responders included Enrique Chiock, President & CEO of BREATHE LA, who asked the panel if indeed a Green New World was truly possible. "Yes," was the response from all panelists. Steve Glenn of LivingHomes provided pointers on how to move toward LEED certification standards in any home. While such standards remain out of reach of average consumers now, the future for zero-emissions home construction appears bright. City of Los Angeles is working towards including an exhaustive list of energy efficiency rebates to consumers throughout the city, and S.David Freeman noted that technology exists to tap alternative fuels, "We simply need the leadership and the will. We need to tell Detroit to make only electric cars, then we'll see a difference."
