"Spirit, Dreams, and Hope Flows to the Future"
This year, Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa will host several events to showcase the past and present day contributions of Asian and Pacific Islander Americans to shaping the great City of Los Angeles and our nation. Volunteers are needed to staff events throughout the month.
Students and seniors, groups and individuals are encouraged to take part.
Below is a list of sample volunteer duties followed by volunteer registration form to be completed and returned. Thank you for your interest in serving our city.

Post signs and banners (post signs before event; remove after), Décor (Poster contest includes display of winning artwork; writing contest includes panel discussion with signage; place tablecloths, goodie bags for participants and other giveaways; remove, pack and clean up afterwards) Welcome winners and guests (assist with sign-in tables and name badges, traffic control, directions) Hospitality (set up beverages, snacks/lunch; assist in service and clean up after. Remember to recycle!)
