Toxins in Tobacco
Who Says Tobacco is Toxic? Are Cigarettes Really Bad for You?
A few facts to help you make up your mind.
What’s in cigarette smoke?- 1. Toxic gasses from burning tobacco
- 2. Small particles that remain suspended in the air
- 3. Larger particles that settle on floors, ceilings, and walls
Between puffs, a burning cigarette pollutes the air that non-smokers breathe. More toxic chemicals from cigarettes end up in the air non-smokers breathe than are inhaled by the smoker.
