UCLA is conducting a 24 week research study for teens and young adults (ages 14 to 21) who want to quit smoking. The study offers a 6 week program to develop individualized strategies & skills to stop smoking and 4 monthly follow-up visits after completing the 6 week program. Participants will be offered 4 weeks of nicotine replacement therapy in conjunction with the skill-building program.
You also will be asked to provide a saliva-based genetic sample so that we may be able to identify common gene difference in youth smokers that may affect treatment outcomes.
Participants can earn up to $265 in gift cards.
