- Keep your medication with you at all times.
- Make sure that you are aware of your need for refills.
- Know how many puffs you have left.
- Know how many refills are left.
- At the bottom of every prescription there is a number that indicates how many refills you have left.
- Keep track of your asthma medications, how full they are, how many puffs there are left, and where they are.
- In the winter months, have the courage to ask your doctor for an emergency bottle of prednisone for emergencies.

- Know your doctor's emergency phone number.
It takes teamwork to manage your asthma. Your family and friends are on your team. Your parents are on your team. Your siblings are on your team. Your pediatrician is on your team. By working together, by keeping track of all of your symptoms and making sure that you have the appropriate medications. You can manage your asthma.
