House Passes Bill to Green Schools

Despite the failure of the federal Climate Security Act, the U.S. House of Representatives passed an historic education bill to provide $7- billion in grants to help green schools nationwide. On June 4th, the House passed the 21st Century Green High-Performing Public School Facilities Act, which will help schools to become more energy efficient and healthier. Following that huge success, on June 18th, the House Education and Labor Committee approved an amended version of the No Child Left Inside Act (NCLI). BREATHE LA is working to bring science-based environmental education to school children in Los Angeles County through BREATHE LA's O24u program.
