BREATHE LA Pollution & Solutions Salon Series Introduces "Greening the Ports: Clean Air Within Our Lifetime?"
BREATHE LA presents the Pollution & Solutions Salon Series June 19, 2008
- WHO: BREATHE LA, residents, consumers, businesses, the public policy community, and other stakeholders
- WHAT: The Pollution & Solutions Salon Series is a new and engaging discussion of clean air, the environment and healthy living. There will be a total of six salons in 2008 with a report of findings to be released in December.
- The first BREATHE LA Pollution & Solutions Salon,
Greening the Ports: Clean Air Within Our Lifetime? will include a welcome by Los Angeles City Council Member Janice Hahn and a moderated panel discussion on "Greening the Ports" among members of the ports, media, elected staff, community and other stakeholders.
- WHEN: Thursday, June 19, 2008
9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
- WHERE: Port of Los Angeles Board Room
425 S. Palos Verdes Street in San Pedro, CA
- WHY: Six salons will be held in total, with each one exploring a different issue or aspect of the environment and how it affects residents, consumers, businesses and other stakeholders.
