Asthma Lung Power

BREATHE LA programs educate and empower children.

For children in school break winter and summer daycamp settings,
Asthma Lung Power
is an asthma control program that allows children, caregivers and family members to understand asthma.

Through fun exercises and family-friendly 'homework' activities, the program empowers children and families to take charge of asthma as the best way to control it.

Asthma Lung Power encourages children with asthma to REST
  • Recognize your warning signs
  • Express your symptoms and feelings to an adult
  • Stay calm and don't panic
  • Take correct medications

BREATHE LA Lung Power  has been developed by Registered Respiratory Therapists(RRT) and approved by BREATHE LA Research Committee comprised of an esteemed panel of Pulmonary Health Medical Professionals.

Lung Power is implemented by a team of RRT's and nurses at sites in Los Angeles County using a best practices based, engaging curriculum for kids 5-12 and their parents throughout 2008 and 2009. If your school or community would like more information about LUNG POWER, contact us.
