O24u Facilitators' Guide Module 6: Alternate and Renewable Fuels
Activity Time:
45-60 minutes
Required Materials:
- 18-gauge copper wire
- Wire clippers
- Steel paper clip
- Sheet of coarse sandpaper
- Lemon

- Straighten out the paper clip and cut about 2 inches of the straightened steel wire.
- Use sandpaper to smooth any rough spots on the wire or paper clip.
- Roll the lemon on a hard surface to allow it to become juicy. Be careful not to rupture the lemon's skin.
- Push the paper clip and wire into the lemon, close to each other but without letting them touch.
