  • Chalk
Learning Objective: 

Identify the functions of a tree's anatomy and how it relates to the environment

Procedure: 

Draw a tree (to the best of your ability) on the playground floor or chalk board. Review the trees and the environment section and begin a discussion.

Discussion: 
  • What do the parts of the tree do for the environment?
    • leaves and branches
    • roots and trunk 
  • How can planting trees in your community help the environment?
