BREATHE LA - UCLA Anderson School of Management Team Win Second Place

UCLA Anderson School of Management third annual Net Impact Consulting Challenge (NICC) matched Anderson School MBA candidates and other UCLA students with Los Angeles area non-profits to address specific organizational challenges in a ten-day competition.

BREATHE LA team was made up of Juan Matute, Amiee Fox, Lisa Han, Jacqueline Laird, Nicole Nasser, and Amanda Sabicer. The team interviewed BREATHE LA staff and board, surveyed the ‘competitive landscape,' reviewed BREATHE LA and BREATHE California programs and budgets, and determined an implementation plan to address BREATHE LA branding and imaging challenges related to the organization's new name. Their second place win netted the team a $2000 cash prize.

Presentations followed a ten day information gathering effort and a Saturday March 1st morning worksession at UCLA Anderson School of Management. Teams were judged by Robert Bryant of Roll International, Jonathan Greenblatt of Ethos Water, Julie Lacouture of DonorsChoose.org, Amit Nag of Bain and Company, Sylia Obagi of Annenberg Foundation, Marcia Schmitz of Annenberg Foundation, Carol Scott of UCLA Anderson School of Management, Brandon Shamim of Beacon Management Group, and Christopher Tuffli of Roll International. Third place was the TeenLine team, Second place, BREATHE LA and first place Koreatown Youth Center. The challenge was sponsored by UCLA Anderson Price Center and POM Wonderful / Roll International.
