Day of the Dead Celebrates Memories

Celebrated in Mexico, some parts of Central America and in Los Angeles,

Day of the Dead is celebrated in conjunction with All-Souls Day November 01 and 02 but orignated as a pagan ritual that embraced death as an awakening. Traditional foods and activities including cleaning and adorning family burial sites as well as creating an alter that celebrates loved ones' favorite foods are central to modern day Day of the Dead festivites.
