Countdown to Jump!

Ok, I've done it. I've registered to jump for clean air with
BREATHE LA CHARITY SKYDIVE on April 26th to benefit
BREATHE LA (O24U)
O24U is an after school environmental educational program that serves low income inner city children ages 8-14 years in air pollution impacted areas of Los Angeles County.

It will be both challenging and rewarding! Sure, I'm just a little bit scared, but I'm also afraid of not taking action to ensure a clean air future for LA. Besides, it promises to be a true adventure. I not only get to meet a personal life achievement goal, but I have the opportunity to raise funds and awareness for BREATHE LA.

Some of you may be thinking, "you must be nuts!" but as I see it, this is my opportunity to give something back. I've committed to raising a minimum of $5,000. This is where YOU come in. I'm asking for your support to make this happen. Every penny counts.

BREATHE LA mission is to promote Clean Air & Healthy Lungs through Research, Education & Technology. In addition to O24U, BREATHE LA provides funding for asthma research and other lung health issues. Did you know that in California, about 1 in 18 children under 18 have been diagnosed and have had symptoms of asthma in the last 12 months?Did you know that air pollution is a common asthma trigger? By educating youth in highly impacted areas, we will change the world one person at a time, one re-learned habit at a time, and eventually, we will succeed with wide-scale change, taking us a few steps closer to being pollution-free by seriously reducing the occurrence of asthma in young people.
