BREATHE LA Air Quality Compact Advisory Council

Micheal Arlen and Enrique Chiock December 2007On Friday, December 14, 2007, an elite Advisory Council representing high level community and environmental leaders, elected officials, clean air advocates and non-profit professionals will convene at BREATHE LA offices to revise a draft Air Quality Compact. BREATHE LA Air Quality Compact serves to communicate goals for clean air in Los Angeles.

BREATHE LA opened its doors in February 2006 as a Los Angeles-based environmental and health non-profit organization affiliated with BREATHE California. BREATHE California of Los Angeles County ( BREATHE LA ) promotes clean air and healthy lungs through research, education and technology. BREATHE LA's public information, advocacy, programs and services address lung disease (asthma, emphysema, tuberculosis) environmental education, tobacco, and access to services. We also provide funding for clinical, community-based, and technology research that promotes clean air and healthy lungs. The Air Quality Compact is designed to support BREATHE LA goal to create a clean air future for Los Angeles County.
