4-U-N-I Inspires Teens to Quit Smoking

A Beverly Hills High School - BREATHE LA partnership, 4-U-N-I Teens helping Teens Quit Smoking was founded by students and provides peer-to-peer suport and tools to quit smoking. 4-U-N-I logoThe first Beverly Hills High School Chapter of 4-U-N-I ( text = For You And I ) Teens Helping Teens Quit Smoking is designed to inspire, support, and assist youth in Los Angeles high schools and is supported by BREATHE LA.

4-U-N-I projects have included the production of hand-drawn animated PSAs highlighting the dangers of smoking which were unveiled at the Musuem of Science and Industry at Exposition Park on World No Tobacco Day 2008. The stduents have partnered with UCLA researchers on a teen-to-teen quit tobacco mentoring project and are preparing for a 2009 Text-to-Quit event at Santa Monica Promenade on World No Tobacco Day May 30, 2009.

4-U-N-I student members read about and research tobacco's influence on youth culture and tobacco's health effects to create and share youth-friendly information with their peers. Contact us if you would like to help.

That's a brilliant

That's a brilliant initiative, students do need directions and support to quit smoking. They are unpredictable and have the strength to quit smoking or other bad habits, I had to attend addiction treatment to succeed in quiting, there was no other way for me.
