Tree Planting in Pasadena
Plant trees now for the future of Pasadena's Urban Forest. Pasadena Public Work Department needs volunteers to help plant 75 trees including several varieties of oak, flowering, and evergreen trees along the city streets on two Saturdays in December.
Dec. 1st - 9 a.m. to noon
Meet at the corner of Hill Avenue and Cordova Street on Dec. 8th. - 9 a.m. to noon
Meet at the entrance to Hamilton Park, 3680 Cartwright St.
Refreshments will be provided.
The efforts are part of an ongoing program to increase Pasadena's Urban Forest, replacing the dead, dying or diseased trees that have been removed from Pasadena's vast urban Forest.
All plantings are supervised by city crews. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes. Gloves and shovels are welcome. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
