Successful Transit-Oriented Districts are characterized by a mix of uses (residential, retail and commercial), designs that encourage pedestrian activity, and vibrant multi-faceted economies. How have such districts produced benefits for local residents, merchants, property owners and others? What have been some of the unanticipated consequences? Of most importance, how can communities work collaboratively with the private sector and local governments to encourage the types of development that makes surrounding neighborhoods even more desirable as places to live, work and visit? What are the critical lessons to be learned for the Miracle Mile? BREATHE LA Green Salons are public forums, encouraging a robust Q&A session.

Complimentary lunch will be served. Green Salons are sponsored by Union Bank and Southern California Gas Company.
