The American Clean Energy and Security Act will be before the United States House of Representatives this month.
BREATHE LA is reaching out to Congressional Representatives regarding the American Clean Energy and Security Act.
We met with Congressman Henry Waxman's office in May to express our support. There is no time to waste.
BREATHE LA urges you to contact your representative today to encourage support of powerful historic legislation that must:

• Require utilities to achieve 25 % of electricity generated from renewable resources by 2025
• Require a bold commitment to the creation renewable energy including solar and wind power
• Establish a strong global warming pollution cap for electric utilities, oil companies and other large industries.
• Promote green jobs
• Promote clean technologies and green construction.
• Provide rebates to ensure businesses can to remain competitive in the global market despite expected increase in energy costs
• Strengthen governmental authority to crack down hard on dirty power plants and to hold polluters accountable
